About the Authors
Michele Kunz is a renowned nursing educator with over 45 years of experience in the field. She is well-known in New York City and Long Island nursing communities, having taught and certified over 11,000 nurses and physicians in ACLS, BLS, and PALS. Michele’s expertise in nursing education and her passion for mindfulness have inspired countless healthcare professionals to embrace more compassionate and holistic approaches to patient care.
Joseph Kunz is a co-founder of their training company and has been directly involved in creating study materials and books for healthcare professionals for over 30 years. Although not a nurse or healthcare professional, Joseph has played a crucial role in teaching BLS Basic Life Support classes and developing training content that supports the professional growth and development of nurses and physicians.
Noreen H. DeSalvo, RN, is a 1978 graduate of Farmingdale State College School of Nursing and has been a practicing RN for 46 years. She has an extensive background that includes two years in Med/Surg, seven years in Hospice and Cancer Care, and 23 years in Neonatal Intensive Care, where she served as a staff RN, Assistant Head Nurse, and Nurse Manager.
For the past 14 years, Noreen has worked in Nursing Administration as the Nursing Performance Improvement Coordinator. She is a CCRN in Neonatal Intensive Care, an Ambassador to the AACN, and serves as a hospital-based Ethics Board mediator. Noreen is also a proud member of the Alumni Board at Farmingdale State College.
